The Herb of the Ocean: Seaweed 101

Guest Workshop by Krisi Nehls of Fallow Fern Healing

Join local herbalist Krisi Nehls to learn about the healing properties of the “herb of the ocean”: seaweed.

We’ll explore seaweed through the lens of red, green, and brown varieties, focusing on seaweed’s botanical anatomy, its healing properties, and how it can be used topically, internally, and nutritionally to help various illnesses and ailments. At the end of class, we'll have an interactive component where we’ll formulate our own custom blends of a famed seaweed condiment – "gomashio” – which each participant will take home with them.

~ There are only 16 spots available per workshop ~
